$10 Men Campaign Response from PMMA Alumni Association PDF Print E-mail
Dear Capt. Jomer Pascua,

In behalf of the BOD, I would like to express my deepest appreciation for your good gesture of initiating a noble advocacy of supporting our Alma matter by means of $10 contribution every month. This is also well appreciated by PMMA President and majority of the members of our association.

The overwhelming support to your $10 Men and Women campaign is only a proof that each and every one of us has that same intent of trying to pay back to our Alma Mater in our own little way.

One of the objectives of our Association is to support PMMA maintain its status as the seat of maritime academic excellence. Unfortunately majority of our members are not fully familiar with our association and the activities we engaged in. Our Association has several Standing committees with specific purpose and objectives. One ofthose committees is the PMMA Affair whose role is to directly liaise with the PMMA administration on any manner of support our Alma Mater may require.

Our sources of funds for the Association came from Annual Membership dues, Fund raising projects and donations from members. Several accounts are being maintained in order to track the funds specified by donors on intended purpose.

In order to further enhance the financial stability of the Association and institutionalize handling donations on a more transparent and professional manner ? PMMA Alumni Foundation Inc. was established. The foundation will serve as the financial arm of PMMA Alumni Association, handling all donations for the activities of the association including those projects that goes direct to PMMA.

An information campaign on the structure of the PMMAAFI, mechanics of its operations, purpose of its existence, existing projects and its relation to our PMMAAAI will launched at the soonest opportunity.

In response to your initial request seeking guidance on your $10 movement from the leadership of the PMMA and PMMA Alumni Association, it has been agreed during our last BOD meeting with the presence of PMMA President Commo. Richard Ritual recommending to course your funds to the PMMAAFI account, then it will be forwarded to the PMMA in coordination or instructions from PMMA President.  So you may send your donations to the following account.

Account Name: PMMA Alumni Foundation Inc.
